2009 MLB draft. Part II: The middle infielders

There are 6 days left for the 2009 MLB Amateur draft. Yesterday I examined the available players for the Twins' biggest organizational need, LHP. Today I am looking at the available players for the Twins' second biggest need, middle infield. I am listing here 53 middle infielders in alphabetical order, who are eligible for the draft (including 2 local prospects). The link on players' names is a link to their bio:

Last I knew, Christian Colon and Derek Dietrich aren't eligible for the 2009 MLB Draft as they are only Sophomores.

Dietrich also played for the USA National Team which is a college all-star team that competes in international competition. Much different then the WBC. Colon was also on this team.

I think McCallum probably is a top 10-12 round pick now after three years with the Gophers. He just looks like a ball player. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Twins take him in that neighborhood.

And you have to assume they'll take Reed Gragnani just because he is from Mills Godwin HS in Virginia, the same school as Matt Moses.

Seth, I also think that they will try to get McCallum and he has been pretty decent with the Gophers. It seems that every year they get a Gopher player or two and this year it might be McCallum...
