I guess Volquez is a FA. His W-L record and ERA, like JJ's, is awful, but if you did down...
One of his issues is control. Once that is improved, he can be a top of the rotation starter. Not bad for your number 3 starter in a team, or number 4, or number 5, once Meyer and Gibson come to age... thrylos98https://www.blogger.com/profile/15729211884114784386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8790694040229595303.post-17401457783550349952013-11-06T14:58:30.175-05:002013-11-06T14:58:30.175-05:00Excellent Thrylos.

I believe he is a much smaller injury risk than JJ, though there is a lot to like about JJ as well.

Bottom line, and I know I'm sticking my neck out, but I'd go all in on Kazmir. I think he's back.

Have to admit I had no idea that Volquez had such stats. His 2013 certainly looked better in a Dodgers uniform than they looked for the Padres, albeit in a SSS.
And is WHIP has been pretty high most of his career. Still, gotta like the SO/9 he tends to post.

Baseball-Reference says both that he is 3rd year arb eligible and that he can be a free agent in 2014.
Are the Dodgers going to keep him?
Marvhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05287347170241944079noreply@blogger.com
